Decorative purposes plugin: Snow effect (wp-flake)
Hello every one, it’s December already, it should snow outside right? Well here it doesn’t, only rain all day long. But I will bring the snow on my Wordpress based home page (a blog publishing system written in PHP and backed by a MySQL database) .
Can you see the flake? Do you like it? You can have this snow effect on you Wordpress blog in less than a minute because I’ve decided to make a plugin out of it, fully customizable.
So here is what you need to do:
1. Download the wp-flake plugin below (zip archive)
2. Unpack the zip archive contents in your wordpress plugins folder (/wp-content/plugins/) and keep zip folders structure intact.
3. Enable the plugin in your WordPress Plugins admin page -> Flake.
* Go to Options ->Flake and adjust the options if necessary and save.
That’s All!![]()
The javascript snow effect is based on code by Kurt Grigg
Have fun!![]()
*You can find this plugin on Wordpress.org as well (thank you wordpress!)

Nea, sunt cam naspa fulgii astia care zboara pe ici pe colo. Pentru anotimpul rece merge un logo specific si gata. Mai dragut asa. Parerea mea

Hi all and thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the scrollbar flicker becomes annoying, I’ve just fixed this problem and updated the plugin
Please re-download the wp-flake plugin and give it another try, it should not flicker anymore.
Merry Christmas!
